Brendan has cultivated a deep passion for art from a very young age. His dedication and talent in art was evidenced during high school as he explored art studies in advanced placement and was selected as the Art Sterling Scholar for his high school.
He had the privilege of studying under talented and competent professional artists at Brigham Young University–Idaho, where he graduated magna cum laude in fine art, focusing on portraiture. He also enjoyed the privilege of painting with and being mentored by the talented William Whitaker in his private studio.
Brendan’s work has received multiple awards and recognitions in various galleries and exhibits including several Utah state art shows. He was selected as one of two recipients for the Portrait Society of America’s scholarship in 2014. Brendan is currently pursuing his Master of Fine Art degree through Academy of Art University, working on private commissioned work from his home studio and enjoys teaching for the Art Department at Salt Lake Community College and BYU-Idaho. Brendan also offers private group painting classes in the Salt Lake valley.
